It seemed as though this spring season flew by in a flash. Maybe it was because Georgia had what felt like a hundred winter blizzards – or maybe because it got hot really quick. Whatever it was, during the short period that it was and felt like spring, it was beautiful and full of flowers, life, and love. I was excited to spend the day with this sweet couple and capture their exciting day as they exchanged vows by the beautiful Spring Lake in Rockmart, GA. I met them the previous year during their engagement session at Sope Creek Paper Mill Ruins (one of my favorite places!) for a fall session. We incorporated their dogs in the shoot at the beginning, and ended with just the two of them at the creek. This bride was very much on it too – during all of our planning sessions, I’d have a question, and she would have the answer, making it very easy to plan!
On wedding day, the weather was absolutely perfect – and we got some added bonuses of a beautiful field of yellow flowers with blue skies, as well as a gorgeous golden sunset over the lake. A little nerve wracking to get into a canoe on the lake in a really nice wedding dress, but totally worth it once you see the photos. Here are some highlights from this wedding!
